Our stay at Orillia Holiday Motel was filled with mixed feelings. The location was perfect for exploring nearby towns and villages on our motorcycle. The room had everything we needed, including a microwave, refrigerator, and tea-making facilities. Free WiFi throughout the property was convenient for staying connected.However, we were disappointed by the lack of cleanliness in the bathroom and the room's heating system not being very effective. The confusion about the pet policy left us feeling unsettled, especially seeing other guests with pets. Despite these drawbacks, the friendly owner and complimentary popcorn added a nice touch to our stay.The proximity to attractions like Lake Couchiching for canoeing and fishing, and Casino Rama for entertainment options, made up for the motel's shortcomings. The affordable rates and free self-parking were a bonus, making it a suitable choice for a quick stopover. Ultimately, the experience was a mix of positives and negatives, but the warm hospitality of the staff stood out amidst the shortcomings.
